I have a universal ins policy since the eighties. i am now 58 and wondering if i should take the cash value out. i have some major credit card bills that are charging more interest than i am receiving from the policy

I agree with the other user. It would be a good idea to get quotes and information from an agent in your local area. You can do that easily by filling out a form at http://www.myinsurancequotes.net. A local agent will help you figure it all out. I hope that helps!

The best way to find a good rate on your auto insurance is to shop around with a few different independant agents. That way you can get the rates of many companies with just a few phone calls. Of course the rate will vary based on many factors including exact age, time licensed, equipment discounts in the car(airbags, ABS, daytime running lights, etc), driving record, and always your garaging address.

a lot because of your age. are you carrying just liability or full coverage? is your driving record clean or do you have points? ever made a claim? where do you live? there are so many factors there is no way for us to tell you. call a local independent agent and they can quote it for you for free!

Contact your local insurance agent for the most accurate quote. It depends on the yr make and model of the vehicle. where you live, your driving history, your age, and what type of coverage you want.
There are a lot of factors that are considered

I've had safeco since 1998 or before. During that time, I had only one claim but it was handled easily and my rate did not change (accident was my fault).
I looked at other insurance within the last 2 years and found Safeco to continue to be the best price.
They also have my home owners insurance.

Safeco is a good company. With that kind of savings I would take Safeco.
Did that include a multi-line discount? or a multi-car discount? Ask them how to get those discounts for more savings.

Yep, no standard carrier is going to write liability policy on a NEW business. So, you're trying to call companies - Nationwide, State Farm, Farmers, etc. That's where you're going wrong.
You need a local, INDEPENDENT agent, who can access the excess market. It's likely going to cost you $ 1500 for the first three years.
Lying about the time in business isn't going to do you any good, because they'll all want three years of "loss runs" from your prior insurance, to PROVE that you've had insurance, for the past three years. If you can't cough up the loss runs, they will treat you like a brand new business.
You can find a local independent agent near you, in the yellow pages, or at www.iiaa.org

You just need a business policy. What kind of cleaning business is it? Is it a Dry Cleaners? Almost anyone will take that type of business.
If your business is cleaning other people's homes that is a business that few companies will take so you will probly need to see a broker. That business is more risky for insurance because there is more chance of someone getting hurt or something being stolen.
